Intercultural Communication
Intercultural Communication occurs when there is a minimum of 2 persons from different cultures or microculture happen to communicate (verbal or non-verbal) to each other.
A Contextual Model of Intercultural Communication
According to the model, Intercultural Communication model occur within a variety of context, such as cultural context, microcultural context, environmental context, and socio-retional context.
Context is a complex combination of various factors, including the setting, condition, situation, background, and the overall framework in which communication occurs.

The largest circle of the model is the cultural context. It is the largest circle because the dominant cultures go through the aspect of communicative exchange.

Microcultural context is in the next largest circle of the model. It defines as groups of people who share the set of values, beliefs, and behaviors of the macro-culture.

The socio-relational context is defined by the cultural and microcultural contexts. It is also affected by environmental context.

The perceptual context connect to form the social-relational context, its refer to verbal and nonverbal interaction.
The verbal message circle is smaller than the nonverbal message circle due to mostly our communicative behavior is nonverbal. Even though people are using words or not, they always communicating nonverbally through their eye contact and body stance.
